 Overview of our trip to the UK/Ireland

In the UK/Ireland our trails lead us through visits with various of Robert's cousins and his brother (our final stop in south of London). The arrows show us starting in Weybridge, west of London and travelling west and over to Ireland - then eventually returning to England from Dublin and on to other cousins in the south.

Weybridge is a quaint town west of London. When Robert's grandmother lived here it was a small rural town. While still small, it's now a commuter town to London with very good train service and only 17 miles away.

The Ship Hotel, which is on the Main Street, is a convenient place to stay and also happens to be where we had our small wedding lunch with Robert’s family in 2005.

The realtors advertise the move for people from London to Weybridge as enabling the to be “living their aspirational lifestyle”.  Haha. Since our last visit there are now about six coffee shops on the half mile Main Street. I guess that’s the life style they seek. Even the dogs love the new coffee shops.

Previously when we were here in June 2023 the fields we drove past on our way to Hereford were very green. They’ve recently harvested the hay and now many fields are brown.  We expect Ireland to make up for this and offer beautiful green fields.
