Landed in Wales - we think

We are headed for Conwy on the northern coast of Wales and passing Bangor on the way (almost thought we made the wrong landfall when we saw the signs for this town - just a reminder of who settled the US). We passed along the Snowdonia mountain range.  The town of Conwy is nestled in these mountains as well but we have only seen them from the Conwy side.  The mountains around Conwy are theTal y fan, the Carneddau mountain range and behind that the Snowdownia mountains behind these. I’m told the backside of these mountains were heavily mined for slate which was used for roof tiles throughout the UK and the world.

On this highway we briefly stopped for a moment and found these sheep crossing signs.  I really hope they don’t try to cross this highway!

Danny and Maureen have the most spectacular view outside their living room window. In the distance you see the Conwy castle.  At night it’s lit and creates a wonderful atmosphere. I’ll try to take photos at night. More on Wales to come….
