On The Road In Wales - Headed to the Ferry

Most days have been cloudy and drizzly- typical English weather. Occasionally the sun comes through for short periods. It’s been in the 60s and we’re clearing a couple of layers of sweaters.

We were told that England gets 60% of its electricity from renewables, which puts the US to shame. As we got nearer the coast we found lots of windmills.

Along the highway we also found a number of tree planting projects where they are reinforcing the banks of the roads with trees.

Most of the Welsh signs are in both Welsh and English but it sure is hard to imagine how the Welsh is pronounced! Give it a try and see if you can do it.

The ferry ride was smooth and comfortable. Lots of lounges to relax in and even a movie theatre. Next post, Ireland!
