Sligo Town and Coast - Next Stop Boston

Instead of my normal morning walk in Sarasota around the pond and neighborhood, we headed for the coastal walk which had been recommended by a friend, Pam.

The coastal walk begins at this beach bar which is also a B&B as well as a campground for camper vans.

The scenery was so relaxing, watching the sea and walking through cow and sheep pastures.

We had fun entertaining the cows and took so many photos of them that you would think we had never seen any before!

We met a couple of Irish ladies who offered advice on other places to walk. After this 4km hike we were ready for lunch!

Our stop in Sligo town itself was rather brief as we wanted to stop at the Coleman Music Center which is about 45 minutes south and on our way back.

More beautiful views of the drive through the countryside. Such a lush environment.

We drove through one town which was very opposed to windmills - anti-windmill signs were all over the place.  From that town we could see the windmills on the mountain behind where we stay. I guess they’d had enough and wanted to stay as far away as possible.
